Every yard is a little different, so we build the sauna around yours. We’ll figure out things like bench height, where the door should go, window placement and the right heater size before we start cutting wood. Western red cedar is our go-to for the inside, but we can also use hemlock or spruce if you prefer a lighter look or want to keep the cost down.
We take care of the whole job from start to finish. Getting the site ready, delivering the sauna, coordinating the 240V electrical for the heater and getting everything fired up for the first time. You’re dealing with the same crew throughout the build, and when you need us down the road, you still have the same number to call. Even if it’s just adding a second bench a year later.

We'll come out, take a look at the space, check where the power is and talk through how you want to use the sauna. We’d rather see the space in person than try to price a job from a few photos.
Once we know what you need, we’ll put together the layout, materials, heater and a fixed price. Things like bench height, door swing and windows are figured out before we start the build.
Framing, cladding and benching happen in the shop where the fit can be controlled and the sawdust stays out of your yard.
We get it set up on site, coordinate with the electrician for the heater, then run through the first heat-up with you. We’ll also show you the basics of looking after the cedar and keeping the sauna in good shape.

There are a few things that affect the price, but size, heater and finishes make the biggest difference. A smaller cedar barrel with an electric heater will usually be on the lower end, while a larger backyard sauna with a change room, porch and wood-fired heater will cost more. Either way, we’ll give you a fixed price before we start building, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Often, yes. Winnipeg treats a detached sauna like any other accessory building once it passes a certain size, and permanent wiring brings its own approval. We tell you which side of the line your build falls on during the consultation.
Electric heaters suit city lots, timers and anyone who wants heat waiting for them after work. Wood-fired suits people who enjoy the ritual of building the fire and have room for the chimney clearances. Both get used plenty here.
